Per questo l’autore propone di aggiungere oltre al timone, per le manovre veloci di attacco, l’applicazione dell’idea del fisico Daniele Bernouilli cioè aggiungere ai “legni”, a vapore l’uso di una tromba che innalzasse l’acqua del mare per respingerla con violenza dietro il naviglio.
