Nei Capricci Lagunari, una serie di sei incisioni derivata da disegni canalettiani, Berardi esprime al massimo le sue grandi capacità chiaroscurali. A proposito di questa tavola dice Succi “Questa incisione, al pari delle seguenti derivate da Antonio Canal, costituisce un tipico esempio dell’arte di Berardi improntata ad effetti di vellutata morbidezza nei neri profondi, sapientemente accostati a vivide spruzzate di bianco.
